Happy New Year, and "god fortsättning" as they say here in Sweden (which basically translates to "good continuation"). It feels very Swedish to celebrate that fact that life just continues. I guess if you don't celebrate that you might take it for granted, right?

2021 was an incredibly busy year for us at LootLocker. We began growing the team, released a whole load of new features, and travelled to the US to participate in Techstars. In fact, there's a lot more we've been working on but aren't quite ready to announce just yet.

Here are a few highlights from 2021:

New Hire

In January we welcomed Tobias Berg Therkelsen to the team as a Senior Backend Developer. Since then Tobias has been hard at work bringing you new features, updates, and leading our Management Console's transition from Angular to React.

New Features

Speaking of new features, here are just a few of the awesome features we launched last year:

SDKs

In addition to new features, we've also been working on our SDKs for Unreal and Unity. While Unity has received a bit more love in 2021, we aim to release a big update to our Unreal Engine SDK early 2022 that will also include support for Unreal 5!

Techstars

We had the pleasure of being part of the Techstars 2021 cohort with our Demo Day in November last year. Over the course of the 3 months of the program we worked incredibly hard but we're certain it paid off. We wrote a longer summary of our experience in a blog post shortly after the program wrapped up.

Growth

Finally, we have seen incredible growth throughout 2021. We're excited to share that we have now have well over 2,000 game developers on the platform and 400 games currently in development or live - woah! Thank you for using LootLocker for you game and for helping us build the best service possible. 💪

2022 has already started off with a bang, and we can't wait to share with you all the amazing things we have planned for the year.

Stay up to date.
